Paul Evans Making its Mark in the Luxury Shoe Market

Who says shoes are something only women have a difficult time finding? Evan Fript and Ben Earley are friends that went into the banking industry together in New York City. They were excited to begin their new careers and dress the part as professional businessmen. However, they found something that was a common source of conflict; they could not find shoes that were of good quality, looked good and that worked for their needs. What they did next was pretty simple; they created their dream shoe.

They went to Italy, explored some shoe factories and eventually partnered with a shoemaker in Naples, Italy. Together, they designed what they like to think of as the perfect shoe, plus a few more styles that they also consider perfect. They now have loafers, dress shoes and lace-ups in their new collection. Next it was time for the duo to decide how to market and sell their shoes. Rather than approaching retailers and/or opening their own location, they decided to take their business to the internet.

Each pair of the Paul Evans’ shoe line is made by artisans and cobblers. They are handmade, designed with precision and cost approximately $350 to $450 per pair. They are available online at the Paul Evans website. Earley admits that he’s a guy that loves shoes and he’s one of the young professionals of the world who wants this things made with high quality precision.

“We want to stretch and improve a guy’s shoe wardrobe,” he says of their desire to create a line of men’s shoes that work in every industry and every aspect of a man’s life. So far it looks like they have done just that as their line is taking the luxury shoe market by storm. Many professionals are now proudly wearing their own Paul Evans designs to and from the office.

My kids love to whine, so I love to wine. My loves include nap time, bed time, date night, travel and evenings and weekends when my husband is home because he handles all diaper changes.
