The Most Expensive Beanie Babies of All-Time

beanie babies

Beanie babies; the silly little creatures that everyone saved complete with tags back in the 90s because they were sure to be worth a fortune at some point. While they might not be worth quite the fortune many thought they would be worth, some of them ended up being pretty expensive. Since their introduction in 1993, the Bean baby has been something you can find in almost every household. Read on to find out which ones were actually worth saving.

Peanut the Royal Blue Elephant

This blue elephant is not always worth anything. In fact, it’s one of two Beanie babies that were made incorrectly during production. Some of the Peanut Beanie babies were made out of a darker color blue and sold. These are more expensive than the regular blue Peanuts. In fact, if you have one of the dark blue Peanut the Royal Blue Elephant’s in your collection, you’ll be pleased to know it is worth $4500.

Nana the Monkey

Everyone has a Nana, whether it’s a Beanie baby or a grandmotherly figure. This monkey, made of brown plush fur with a friendly little face, is one of the most expensive toy monkey’s in the world. Nana the monkey is worth $4000 to collectors. If you happen to have one on hand, make sure you hold onto it and treat it with care. It’s only valuable with its original tags still attached.

Punchers the Lobster

Believe it or not, this little red lobster is actually the product of an error made when the tags went into the printing press. Punchers should actually read, “Pinchers,” which is part of the reason this particular Beanie baby is worth so much. Since only a few of these made it onto the market, this one is worth a significant amount of money; $3800 to be exact.

Brownie the Brown Bear

This is one of the nine original Beanie babies ever created, which is why it’s one of the most valuable. This Beanie baby is worth $3600, having sold at one point for that much money to a collector. This little brown bear isn’t ugly, and it’s a little more special than your average brown teddy bear. Perhaps that’s why this one caught on.

Brown Teddy Old Face

The Brown Teddy Old Face Beanie baby isn’t anything special. It looks just like your average brown teddy bear, but it’s actually one of the most expensive Beanie babies of all time. This Beanie baby is worth approximately $2800. It’s not one of the original nine Beanie babies, but something about this one in particular made it special to collectors.
