The Highest Selling Miley Cyrus Albums of All-Time

Miley Cyrus is known for many reasons. She’s known as being a famous singer, a former Disney Channel star (Hannah Montana) and the daughter of Achy Breaky Heart singer, Billy Ray Cyrus. She’s also known for her little dance number at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in which she danced provocatively with Robin Thicke much to the dismay of just about everyone. Regardless of her current status, she’s one of the most successful recording artists of this generation according to albums sold.

Hannah Montana 3 – 2.5 million

Featuring a number of her hit songs from her hit series, the Hannah Montana 3 album is one of Cyrus’ most famous albums. This one sold a total of 2.5 million copies since its release. It’s a bit number for a soundtrack to a television show, and it’s just one more way Cyrus gets to enjoy the success of her time spent as Hannah Montana.

Hannah Montana the Movie Soundtrack – 3.1 million

This album was released just after Cyrus released her second album under her own name. The Climb is one of her most famous songs, and it’s featured on this album. The album was nowhere near as popular as her own albums, but her fan base at this point was also much smaller.

Bangerz – 4.5 million

Bangerz is the album Cyrus released in 2013. Definitely edgier, more mature and more provocative, this is the album she used to launch a new persona. Tired of being seen a nothing more than a Disney child, she decided to breakout of her role as Hannah Montana once and for all and create this dark and party-like album.

Breakout – 6.8 million

Just a year after she released her first album in 2007, Miley Cyrus released her second album. This one is the second most popular album she’s released in terms of number of albums sold. The CD features several of her hit songs and it was one of the most well-received albums of the year in 2008.

Meet Miley Cyrus – 9.8 million

This is the first album that Miley Cyrus released under her own name and not as her television personality, Hannah Montana. The album went quadruple platinum and earned her several awesome reviews. It was the album from which her hit song “See You Again.”
