Rick Ross Net Worth

Rick Ross Net Worth

Rick Ross is a rap star, producer and business man with a net worth of approximately $35 million. He’s been in the rap game for years, making money and making fans. He’s been diagnosed with several health issues in recent years, most notably seizures that left him very ill and prompted him to take charge of his body and begin to get healthy. Now he sort-of advocates for those who need some help in that department, admitting when he’s asked that he didn’t take care of himself the way that he needed to, and he regrets that decision today. Ross is the kind of man who wasn’t always rich. He wasn’t always in the rap game, either. Before he became famous as he is now, he was a correctional officer at a prison. You can imagine he was not nearly as famous or popular then as he is now.

Ross released his first studio album back in 2006, and he has released an additional six records since. The vast majority of his net worth comes from his record sales, but he’s got other fingers in other pies, too. He and other rappers have had their differences, most notably rapper 50 Cent. But it seems that while “Fiddy” is on his way to court to settle his bankruptcy, Ross is laughing all the way to the bank with his very significant net worth and his happiness about that. He might not be what other rappers call a true gangsta, but he’s got enough money that he doesn’t care.

His name is actually William Leonard Roberts II, but that is not a very gangsta rapper name, so he goes by Rick Ross. He was born in 1976 in Mississippi, though he was raised in Florida. He spent the vast majority of his childhood wondering what he would do as he got older until he finally began to chase his dreams. He’s got his own recording company now, Maybach Music Group, which is another very profitable way of life for the rapper and business owner. He made it his business to become the first artist signed to Diddy’s Ciroc entertainment, too, and he’s been awarded with recognition that is big in the rap game.

One thing that surprises many people about Ross, especially given the lyrics of his music, is that he is a devout Christian. He’s been said to pray before every appearance, and he once told a reporter that no matter what he goes through and what he does in his life, he never questions God. He’s also been in trouble for drug use, carrying weapons and he’s even been in trouble for seemingly condoning a form of date rape in one of his more popular songs. He’s got legal issues left and right, but they don’t seem to have much of an effect on his net worth and his fan base. Rick Ross is just now becoming even more famous than he’s been in years past, and that means his net worth will only continue to grow larger over the coming years.
