Phil Spector Pleads Innocent To Murder Charge

Certain lawyers have been able to build up a great reputation by successfully representing some of the world’s top celebrities. Due to representing such wealthy clients, these lawyers have built up a nice stockpile of funds themselves. Despite the crazy situations some celebrities get themselves into, they always need lawyers, and good ones; however, it’s not cheap to afford the best, so here are the richest celebrity lawyers of all time.

5. Mark Geragos – $25 Million

Mark Geragos got his claim to fame by representing Michael Jackson when he was accused of child molestation. Geragos was the defense for the King of Pop, and the lawsuit received tons of national coverage, getting his name out there. He also represented Winona Ryder when she was caught shoplifting, and more recently represented Chris Brown during his battery case against Rihanna.

4. Alan Dershowitz – $25 Million

Alan Dershowitz had the spotlight on him when he decided to represent O.J. Simpson in the media during his murder case during the 90’s. He also represented Mike Tyson, Patricia Hearst, and Claus Van Bulow when he was accused of murdering his wife. Dershowitz was able to have the van Bulow case overturned and since has been a professor at Harvard’s Law School.

3. Joel Segal – $40 Million

Joel Segal deals mainly with sports contracts and represents a decent amount of players in the NFL. His most notable case was securing Michael Vick his six year $100 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2011 after the athlete was released from jail. Segal also represents Randy Moss and Chris Johnson, who just received a new deal to play for the New York Jets.

2. Robert Shapiro – $50 Million

Robert Shapiro was actually the first lawyer for O.J. Simpson during his murder trial, and believed Simpson was innocent the entire time. Eventually Johnnie Cochran took over the case, but Shapiro continued to back Simpson in the media. Shapiro has also represented notable stars such as Johnny Carson, Phil Spector, and multiple players in the MLB.

1. Roy Black – $65 Million

Roy Black became a well known celebrity lawyer when he represented William Kennedy Smith’s case in 1991 and was able to get him out of all the charges. He has done a great job at helping celebrities get out of their cases completely unscathed regardless of how bad the situation looks for them. In the past he has represented Joe Francis, Rush Limbaugh, Jeffrey Epstein, and Helio Castroneves.
