Five Well Known Trust Fund Babies

Brooke Hogan Rehearsals In Miami

When famous and talented celebrities have children, those kids sometimes grow up to popular and successful in their own right, forging their own careers and creating new lives for themselves separate from their parents. However, for all the celebrity children out there that do that, there are just as many, if not more, who are able to live off their family’s money for the rest of their lives and aren’t quite as entrepreneurial as the rest.   Often times these kids are called trust fund babies, individuals who basically have unlimited money that their parents have given to them or left for them and can use it in any way they please. Of the numerous trust fund babies that are out there, here are five of the most well known.

2012 MTV Movie Awards - Red Carpet

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton is probably the most infamous of all the trust fund babies that are out there today. Shes’ the heiress of the Hilton hotel chain and is most famous for having her father’s last name. While she has attempted to break out with roles in television and film, Hilton has never really made a lasting career out of it.  While she does still model and engages in musical attempts,  she simply uses her inherited money to just do whatever she likes, which mostly consists of showing up at big events or famous clubs as their “special guest.”

Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa Marie Presley has, to her credit, attempted to make a music career for herself. However, she bears none of the striking talent that made her father such a household name. The money that she has and the notoriety that she possess are mainly because her father was Elvis. And Presley seems perfectly fine going along with her mediocre music career since she still an enormous amount of wealth left behind by her deceased, rock star dad.

Audrina Patridge Celebrates Her New VH1 Reality Show "Audrina"

Rob Kardashian

While Rob Kardashian does have a couple of business ventures out now (including a new sock line), it’s nothing unique or substantial.  Rob seems to be in the news all the time but it’s more related to drama surrounding his fluctuating weight and feuds with his sisters.  Unfortunately there isn’t much in the way of business endeavors for Rob.  At least nothing that we’ve seen.  Hopefully he can follow in his sisters’ footsteps and make a successful reality show by just being himself.

Brooke Hogan Rehearsals In Miami

Brooke Hogan

The daughter of famous wrestler Hulk Hogan, Brooke is one of the most well-known trust fund babies around and has used her last name (and her family’s wealth) to try and start up a music career. Hogan’s two albums sold very few copies, and she has not come out with a new one since 2009, when her second album, The Redemption, failed to be a success, forcing Sobe Entertainment to drop her.  We think it might be best for Brooke to get more involved in the WWE.

Nicole Richie Greets Fans At David Jones

Nichole Richie

Out of all the “trust fund babies” on this list, Nicole Richie appears to have done the best for herself with actually forging her own career path. Although for a while she was simply best known as Lionel Richie’s daughter and the other girl from Simple Life with Paris Hilton, Richie has became a pretty dependable TV actress with roles in shows like Chuck and the since-cancelled The New Normal. Plus, it appears that Richie has also made a splash in the fashion world over the past couple of years, even landing herself a celebrity judge guest spot on Project Runway back in 2010 and a role as a mentor in Fashion Star in 2012.  Her influences in the fashion world grows each year.
