David Cameron is the current British Prime Minister who has a net worth of $50 million. He’s been married to his wife since 1996 and has three children who reside with him at 10 Downing Street (HQ of the British Government). Cameron originally stepped into office back in 2010 where he worked his way up to the leader of the Conservative Party and eventually took over for Gordon Brown. Here are five things you didn’t know about David Cameron.

5. He’s always been linked to royalty and money

Cameron is actually a descendant of King William IV and his entire family has always been well off. His father was a stockbroker and his mother a Justice of the Peace, so he was around finance and government all the time. Even Cameron’s father-in-law owns an estate on the Scottish island Jura where the family will take vacations to. As if this weren’t enough, his aunt married into the family of interim Labor Leader Harriet Harman.

4. He is the second youngest Prime Minister ever

When Cameron entered into office, he was only 43 years old, which actually makes him the youngest Prime Minister since 1812 when Robert Jenkinson, The Earl of Liverpool, took office at the age of 42 when Spencer Perceval was assassinated. This makes Cameron the second youngest British Prime Minister ever, and the youngest since Jenkinson.

3. He is an Aston Villa fan

The English Premiere League is the main sport choice for the majority of people in England, so it’s no surprise to see that Cameron is a fan. He routes for Aston Villa, one of the Premiere League teams that has a very solid history in the league and has been around forever. Supposedly he was related to a former owner of the football club which is what exposed him to the team.

2. He was a great student

While in school, Cameron was a smart guy with good work ethic that ended up earning him a pass on 12 O-levels and even earning three A’s for A level qualification in the history of art, the history of economics, and politics. Cameron also attended Oxford which, as everyone knows, is one of the best schools one can attend in Britain.

1. He wrote for the Guardian

Cameron actually spent an amount of time writing for The Guardian paper where he was given his own column titled “The Trendy Tory” which allowed him to write about politics and current events. This was one of the first outlets Cameron had to get his views across and see whether people agreed with him or not.
