Nicole Elizabeth Polizzi was born on November 23, 1987 in Santiago, Chile. She was adopted when she was 6-months old and raised in Marlboro, New York. She was given the nickname ‘Snooki’ in middle school for the character in Save The Last Dance. In high school, Snooki was a cheerleader. She revealed during that time that she suffered from an eating disorder. She would go on to community college where she studied to become a veterinary technician. The job she held prior becoming famous.
Snooki first appeared on MTV in the series Is She Really Going Out With Him?, which featured her and her boyfriend in episode 14. She became part of the Jersey Shore cast in 2009. She was tabbed as the “breakout star” of the cast by many media outlets. Her popularity on the show lead to her own series with fellow cast member Jennifer ‘JWoww’ Farley entitled Snooki & JWoww. On September 4, 2013, it was announced that Snooki would be a participant on the 17th season of Dancing With The Stars. She was paired with newcomer Sasha Farber. The duo was eliminated relatively early in the show – finishing in 8th place despite receiving relatively good scores.
Outside of her television work, Snooki has made various guest appearances on talk shows and award shows. She released a book in 2011 entitled A Shore Thing. She released a second book that year called Confessions of a Guidette with Gallery Books. She also started a promotional company called Team Snooki Boxing that has promoted fights in Atlantic City.
Snooki is the mother of a son Lorenzo, with fiance Jianni LaVelle. Post-pregnancy, Snooki lost a whopping 42-lbs, but has since gotten pregnant again. She has recently revealed that she will not have her wedding until after her pregnancy. The wedding had been a subject of her show, Snooki and JWoww. There’s no documentation of what her fiance’s job is, thus her net worth figures to be a number based upon her career and earnings.

She, however, remains in a tough position because her Jersey Shore days are numbered and her series with friend, JWoww, has lost a lot of its following just after one season. According to Nielsen, the ratings of her show have taken a serious hit and there’s a strong possibility that she will not be renewed going forward. The further Snooki gets away from the Jersey Shore the lest likely she’ll be able to make money. Her novels weren’t successful and her business ventures really haven’t taken off. In other words, Snooki’s window to earn money is slowly closing. It’ll be interesting to see where that net worth number is in a few years as we expect her show on MTV to come to an end shortly.
