Bow Wow Net Worth

Bow Wow

Bow Wow (formerly known as Lil’ Bow Wow) is an American rapper, actor and television host who has a net worth of $300,000. Bow Wow released his first album at the age of 13, but has since been the subject of financial troubles in the media.

Shad Gregory Moss was born on March 9, 1987 in Columbus, Ohio. At the age of three he became interested in rap, and began performing under the moniker “Kid Gangsta” at age 6. He became a huge fan of N.W.A. early on. While performing at a concert in Los Angeles he was discovered by Snoop Dogg, who gave him the nickname Bow Wow.

At age 11, Bow Wow met Jermaine Dupri who helped shape his career. It wasn’t long before he released his first album Beware of the Dog at age 13. His first album went double platinum selling over 2 million copies. Bow Wow never reached those heights again as his subsequent albums Doggy Bag, Unleashed, Wanted, The Price of Fame, Face Off and New Jack City Part II didn’t reach nearly the stature of his first album. Currently, he is working on a new album entitled Underrated, which he plans to release after he turns 28.

Bow Wow has bounced around from label to label. He credits his career to Jermaine Dupri, but has spent time with Cash Money Records (2009-2012). He benefited during his time at Cash Money working with globally popular artists like Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil’ Wayne. Most recently, he was signed to Universal Republic Records, which ended up going defunct. All of the artists on the label were moved to Republic Records, which revived itself.

Outside of the music industry Bow Wow has been acting in various sitcoms and movies including Like Mike, Roll Bounce, and Fast and the Furious. Bow Wow has also made an appearance in the HBO sitcom Entourage for a few episodes. Bow Wow has most recently signed on to be the host of 106 & Park, a popular show on BET.

Bow Wow made headlines when he was ordered by a court to pay $3,000 in child support and declared he didn’t have the money. According to court documents, Bow Wow said he only had $1,500 in his checking account and was only make $4,000 a month from his deal with Cash Money Records.

Bow Wow currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and unfortunately does not have a relationship with his ex-girlfriend and daughter Shai. His net worth is an accumulation or music and motion pictures. Due to the fact his musical career has stalled, Bow Wow has had to rely on other means to generate income. There isn’t much demand for him in film, but hosting 106 & Park will be a solid means of income for the rapper as he continues to seek his new pay day. It’ll be interesting to see how his next record performs. It could have serious implications on his net worth and potentially revitalize his music career. There aren’t many who are anticipating a game changing record though.
