The battle continues! Samsung vs. Apple is the end-all-be-all war for smartphone supremacy. Apple has edged Samsung in recent battles and now the ball is in Samsung’s court… and they’ve answered.
Shortly after launching the Galaxy S5, the South Korean conglomerate has teamed up with crystal designer Swarovski to create a rear case for the phone adorned with crystals. This isn’t the first time the two have teamed up. Last year, they launched the Galaxy S4 crystal edition with some success.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been met with strong reviews. It has already endured many artistic renditions including orange alligator leather to gold color variants. If you can be patient for about a month than you’ll have the option of having a slick crystal backed Samsung S5. There remains some question as to when the crystal version will hit the North American market. Right now, it appears as if the new edition is slated to be launched in Korea and make it’s way to the states.
The crystal edition of the Samsung S5 isn’t going to be enough to move the needle in the epic battle between Apple and Samsung, but it’s pretty cool to look at. Apple is currently the king of the PC and looks like they’re safe on the smartphone throne for now.
