Soon Drones Will Take Your Dog Out For a Walk

Deutsche Post Tests Deliveries With Drones

There are many joys to owning a dog including taking the little fella for a walk early in the morning or in the afternoon. If you aren’t up for taking your pooch for a walk you probably shouldn’t own one. Ultimately, you get a dog you better be ready to walk  him or her. If you just so happened to be a lazy pet owner and have some cash you could enlist an unmanned drone to do it..

According to reports, New York City-based videographer and entrepreneur Jeff Myers used a drone to walk his pup and captured the entire thing on video. The video was then posted on Vimeo, and of course went viral. Now, Myers is claiming he is working and experimenting with product and interaction design. He has a video out right now that shows a person programming a walking route into the computer for their drone. The drone then takes the golden retriever for a walk around the neighborhood with the pooch completely unfazed by the quadcopter above its head. Believe it or not, the drone not only walks the dog, but makes sure it’s OK as well – reporting back to the owner. If only it could pick up poop right?

There’s been a lot of news lately about drones. We’ve highlighted package delivery, champagne delivery to your hotel suite and more. It won’t be long before drones do everything for us!
