What are you willing to pay for a circular home? Would it help to know the house comes with 10-acres of manicured lawn? Would you spend $9.34 million on this home? That’s what Claude Lelouch, the Oscar-winning director from France, is selling his Deauville estate for; but it’s a large home. The 6,000-square foot house is completely round, sits on 10-acres and has plenty of upgrades that only a house of this size and nature can include.

With two floors, the house is completely round with the exception of the attached garage – after all, it’s not that easy to park a rectangular vehicle in a round garage. The house was built and completed in 2013, and it’s now on the market. Why is the house round, you ask? Because the builder wanted to create a main focal point in the center of the house, and what it is might just surprise you. Many build their homes around their entertaining space, living space or kitchen, but this builder chose to highlight and showcase the swimming pool directly in the middle of the house. The house is nothing if not absolutely modern, but the exterior of the home is a very traditional Norman style, which is somewhat deceptive in comparison to the interior of this home.

Large and open, the first floor contains the main areas of this impressive estate. This includes a large chef’s kitchen, living space and a sauna. On the second floor buyers will find five bedrooms, each with its own private attached bath. The 76-year-old director does not reside in this interesting abode full time, rather only on the weekends and specific times throughout the year. The area is actually well-known for its role as a weekend home for many Parisians, and it’s also the place in which Lelouch comes to dream of his new scripts, films and ideas.
