Barneys New York has recently just announced that construction of its newest retail store has been completed, and that it’s ready to open its doors. The famed brand is known for their haute department stores and this new store will be a flagship store located in downtown New York City.
The new retail store is located between 16th and 17th street on 7th Avenue in the prominent Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. Apparently the company was originally founded on this very block, so they have been looking forward to returning here.
Barneys New York employed the likes of Steven Harris Architects, an award-wining and well-known architectural firm from New York City to create and design the building. The new building is modern, chic, and extremely luxurious. In total there are five floors and some 55,000-square-foot of retail space that will be designated to all the fine products that Barneys sells. They will also include a barbershop and even a small restaurant, among their other luxury services.
The pictures of this new flagship location look extremely appealing and shoppers are certainly very excited to stroll through Barneys newest store in New York City.
