It’s Almost Impossible To Believe The Pottery Hotel is Real

1

When most of us think of pottery, we think of the scene from Ghost during Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze’s intimate scene creating a vase at the pottery wheel. What no one thinks of relating to pottery is a hotel; let alone a hotel that is actually constructed to look like pieces of giant pottery sitting on the beach in Korea.

However, the Potty Hotel in South Korea is real. Situated on the island of Yeongheung in the midst of the Yellow Sea sit six beach houses, each one designed to look like a large piece of pottery. One, in fact, even looks just like an Arizona Iced Tea bottle. The name of the location is the Pottery Village Bed & Breakfast, and visitors have the option to visit this hotel for a mere $77 per night.

Each house is unique in its exterior appearance, but they’re all the same size and shape throughout. Even the interior of each pottery-shaped building is circular, which certainly isn’t something you’re likely to see anywhere else.

The area of the island on which the Pottery Village Bed & Breakfast is located features several interesting tourist options such as fishing and swimming. While the location might not be the most famous vacation destination in the world, it’s apparently enough to warrant its own Korean tourism website boasting activities such as lovely beaches, fishing and even a recommendation to stay at the Pottery hotel.

This Korean hotel’s website does not offer much information about the location, but anyone who speaks Korean can call and ask for additional information. All you need to know is that if you get the opportunity to spend a night on this island in South Korea, these giant pieces of pottery might make for a memorable vacation – or at least one that resembles a life-size night on the Small World ride at Disney World.
