Cantieri di Pisa’s new 72-foot Kitalpha Cruiser Is Considered the “Consummate Gentlemen’s Yacht”

It seems as though each year some Italian yacht manufacturer releases yet another vessel that’s soon quickly forgotten. There’s only so much you can do with a yacht in terms of design, to make it standout, which is why we see so much of the same each year. This is not the case for Cantieri di Pisa. The brand traces its roots back to 1945 in the small town of Limite sull’Arno, a small town in Tuscany. The company grew to prominences over the years and are now one of the prominent forces in the Italian yacht industry. They have recently released a new vessel called the Kitalpha 22, and Robb Report is calling it the “Consummate Gentlemen’s Yacht”:

Referencing a classic cruiser from the 1960s, Cantieri di Pisa’s new 72-foot Kitalpha 22 pairs the sophisticated stylings of that bygone era with innovative design and contemporary comforts to present the perfect gentleman’s yacht for today. Adding to its allure is a choice of two hull constructions and layout configurations considerate to the owner’s needs.

Designed by Luca Dini, the yacht maximizes useable space while maintaining a minimalist refinement. The light-alloy-hulled version features a multipurpose lower deck that can accommodate a beach club, gym, or spa. On the same level, a sliding glass partition separates the air-conditioned interior from the transom door which, when extended, opens to form a bathing platform for additional lounge space. The main deck displays the tender (detailed in the same color tones and trim as the yacht) at the stern along with a furnished dining area. And a hydraulic, telescoping ladder provides access to the lower deck or water.

It would seem as though Cantieri di Pisa have designed and created a truly exceptional yacht that is able to standout on its own. We’ve seen a few impressive vehicles from the brand in the past, but this one might just be our favorite. From a design standpoint, the Kitalpha 22 is a modern take on an iconic design of the past. The end result is a vessel that looks beautiful and one that is also timeless as well.

Not only is the Kitapha 22 a beauty, it is also very powerful as well. There are two different engines that buyers can choose from, with the most premium version being a dual MAN R6-800 configuration. Those two engines allow the yacht to achieve speeds of 19 knots and it can even sail some 2,000 nautical miles in total. The Kitalpha 22 is gorgeous, functional, fairly practical (given what it is), and stacked with luxury features. It seems that Cantieri di Pisa have outdone themselves yet again.
