The World’s Most Expensive Edible Easter Egg

Chocolatier Chika Watanabe Prepares Luxury Chocolate Eggs Ahead Of Easter At Melt Chocolates

I’m not a big candy guy, but Easter eggs are pretty delicious. I can get down on a couple of chocolate Easter eggs this Sunday. The Shawish Easter Surprise is just a little too rich for my blood.

The Geneva-based high-end jeweler, Shawish, has released the most expensive edible Easter egg at Harrods. Exclusive to the jewel in England’s retail crown, the egg doesn’t just boast candy deliciousness. It contains a stunning piece of wearable jewelry. The egg itself is hand-crafted by award-winning chocolatier Philippe Pascoet. It is a blend of some of the best chocolates in the world. The gold dust on the outer surface is certainly attractive, but it’s the white gold necklace in the center that makes this egg other-worldly. The founder and designer said of the egg:

‘The Egg hunt at Harrods London is like celebrating the sweet taste of Easter with a magical touch and a dazzling surprise. Shawish is the agent provocateur of the Haute Joaillerie, centered around storytelling, desires and Alice in Wonderland.’

Each jewel and egg can be customized, but either way it’s going to cost you a pretty penny. The egg’s, which are exclusive to Harrods, are valued at $46,500. Like I said before, it’s a little to rich for my blood and to be honest I’m not even interested in the jewel I’m just wondering how delicious the egg is…
