De Grisogono Isn’t Your Average High-End Watchmaker

De Grisogono is a Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1993 by black diamond specialist, Fawaz Gruosi. Grouse has stated,“I started with 16,000 Swiss francs, 20 years ago, and the success of de Grisogono is a miracle, in every sense. I simply saw another way of doing things in the jewelry world. I was lucky, and a little crazy. I worked like a madman and still do.”  This is why his jewelry is considered some of the best that is being made today.

One of his signature pieces is a men’s watch, the Otturarore S03. It has a satin polished white gold face with white diamonds. The face incorporates a moon phase and the date with a black alligator strap. The cast incorporates anti-reflection sapphire glass with a polished white gold folding clasp. And of course, the crown logo with the de Grisogono crest. It costs around $90,000 dollars.

Another spectacular timepiece in the De Grisogono line is the Instrumentino Tino S10. This ladies watch has an 18K white gold case that is set entirely with clear, white diamonds and shows the time in two time zones. The case back is transparent and the strap is made of white galuchat with a white gold clasp.

De Grisogono is not just known for his watches.  He also designs some of the most beautiful and artistically special rings with his signature diamonds. One spectacular example of his ring design would be the 25-carat cushion-cut green diamond ring set in white gold surrounded by seven carats of black diamonds. In terms of color, the pale green diamond was rivaled only by the Dresden Green, a priceless 41-carat gem on display at Dresden Castle in Germany. The cost for this ring was a mere $7.3 million. So not only do the produce amazing timepieces, but high-end jewelry as well. This Swiss company has really made a name for itself in the past few years, and their work speaks volumes.
