Each year the worlds leading watch manufacturers meet up in Switzerland for the Salon International de la haute Horlogerie (SIHH), a massive event similar to an auto show where brands show off their latest and greatest creations. The event recently wrapped up last month and we saw many new and amazing timepieces unveiled. The watches shown off at SIHH will be available for 2016, and they are easily some of the most impressive (and expensive) watches to keep an eye out for. We’ve taken a look at all the newest timepieces from that event and have compiled a list of 10 amazing watches to look out for in 2016.

10. The Parmigiani Tonda Chronor Anniversaire
The Tonda Chronor Anniversaries from Parmigiani is subtle, clean, elegant, and quite beautiful. This luxurious timepiece features a 65-hour power reserve, 35 jewels, and is comprised of 317 components in total. It’s a sophisticated watch that can realistically be worn for a variety of different occasions. Parmigiani will only be producing just 50 examples in total, 25 in rose gold and 25 in white gold and they will run you some $135,000 dollars.

9. The Piaget Emperador Coussin XL 700P
While Piaget has never been solely just a watch manufacturer as they produce a range of different luxury goods, their timepieces are consistently quite good. The new Emperador Coussin XL 700P is unique, classy, and will surely turn heads. Piaget created the timepiece to celebrate the 40th-anniversary of their first quartz movement that was created in0house. Made from white gold, the watch is limited to just 118 pieces and costs $70,000 dollars.

8. The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Collection Excellence Platine
Vacheron Constantin is one of the most respected names in the watch business, as they produce some of the most magnificent pieces out there, like the new Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Collection Excellence Platine. It features a clean and striking face that’s quite timeless and an open-back design allowing you to see the inner workings. However the most impressive features is that it is almost entirely made from platinum which is why it will run you some $110,700 dollars.

7. The Panerai Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Titanio
Between it’s beautiful skeletonized face to the nearly all-titanium design, the Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Titanio from Panerai was one watch that really stood out at SIHH. The piece was created to celebrate the iconic Galileo Galilei and it would probably make him proud. Limited to just 150 pieces in total, this watch will cost you $143,000 dollars.

6. The Greubel Forsey Double Balancier a Differential
Perfectly balancing a clean design with unique tastes, the Double Balancier a Differential from Greubel Forsey is yet another haute timepiece to keep your eyes on. Made entirely from white gold, the watch has a very interesting face that is quite desirable. Since Greubel Forsey always produces watches in small batches, they will only make just 33 units of this watch and they cost $390,000 dollars.

5. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon
We can always count on Jaeger-LeCoultre to create some beautiful watches, and their newly unveiled Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon is something else. The company is currently celebrating the 85th-anniversary of the Reverso, so they created this limited edition piece for the occasion. Priced at $293,000 dollars and limited to just 75 units in total, the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon is truly exceptional.

4. The Richard Mille RM 50-02 ACJ
Leave it to Richard Mille to come up with some of the most intricate and unique watches on the market, and the RM 50-02 ACJ is yet another fine example from the company. Produced in a partnership with Airbus Corporate Jets, the titanium-aluminum alloy watch takes it’s design cues from airplanes. This is one of the most expensive watches on our list at $1.05 million dollars and they are only making just 30 in total.

3. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked
Audemars Piguet has given their Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel timepiece an overhaul and has made it into an “openworked” watch which is essentially their version of a skeleton watch. The Royal Oak is a timeless, high-end watch that is now even more desirable. Available in rose gold ($76,800) and stainless steel ($44,100), this piece will no doubt be one of the more popular high-end watches in 2016.

2. The A. Lange & Söhne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon
A. Lange & Söhne recently released the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon and it was an instant hit. Featuring a flyback chronograph, a perpetual calendar with jumping displays, and a tourbillon, this is yet another high-end watch that offers so much. With it’s black strap and case and the platinum build, the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon is limited to 100 pieces and is priced at $320,514 dollars.

1. The MB&F HM No. 6 Space Pirate
MB&F constantly proves to the world that they aren’t afraid to stray from normalities and take risks, as is evident with their new HM No.6 “Space Pirate” timepiece. It was easily the most daring and unique watch unveiled at SIHH, and it’s certainly one that will gain a lot of attention. The intricate and complex watch is available with either a sapphire crystal and red gold case or a sapphire crystal and platinum case. They are making only 10 of each version in total, and they will cost $344,115 for the gold version and $375,000 for the platinum version. It’s a highly unconventional watch in all aspects, and we think that’s a good thing as MB&F can pull off these impressive and complex designs.
