4. Aulani Disney Resort – Oahu, Hawaii

Aulani Disney Resort

The folks over at Disney are masters as creating resorts that are perfect for large groups of an age. The Aulani Disney Resort in Hawaii opened up just recently back in 2011, so it is still very new. Located right on the beach on the island of Oahu, the Aulani resort has everything that you could possibly imagine. Disney poured about $800 million dollars into constructing this hotel, so with that kind of money it’s bound to be pretty amazing. The accommodations here are perfect for groups of all sizes. Smaller parties should look into the standard rooms that offer one or two beds. There are also larger one and two bedroom suites for those looking to spend a little more. However if you come with family and friends, you may want to consider one of their luxurious private villas that offer a full-sized kitchen and living room, with the largest villas having the capacity to sleep up to twelve guests. In terms of entertainment when you’re not at the beach, the Aulani Disney Resort has a range of activities for everyone. From beach games and golfing to scuba diving trips and shows, there’s a bit of everything here. I also cannot forget to mention the premium and luxurious spa in addition to the ten restaurants and bars. They pretty much have it all, and guests really like it here. Users at TripAdvisor gave the hotel an average of 4.5 starts out of 5 (based on over 2,600 reviews) so you know you’re in good hands. For more information, head on over to their website.

3. Lion Sands Game Reserve – Sabi Sands, South Africa

Lion Sands Game Reserve

So you’re a luxury traveler that’s seeking a unique experience that’s perfect for a large group at a hotel off the beaten track. Where do you go? Well how about considering the Lion Sands Game Reserve out in the wilderness of South Africa? This is essentially what happens when you take a luxury resort and the place it out in the heart of Africa. It’s located within both the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park. It’s going to be difficult to get out here, but it’s certainly well worth the trip. Don’t believe me? Well readers at Condé Nast Traveler gave the resort a score of 95.4 out of 100, and ranked it as the number 24 best resort in the world last year. Accommodations are in the forms of luxurious lodges, private villas, and incredible treehouses that are spread throughout the property. There’s an incredible spa and a few dining options, but the real reason you come here is for the safari and the nature. The land that the resort is located on is home to the “Big Five” animals of Africa, which are lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and the Cape buffalo. You’ll have the opportunity to sleep in massive villas and enjoy the luxuries of the resort, while simultaneously experiencing some of the most amazing animals on the planet.
