There are a wide array of winter resorts that offer guests a variety of activities to do which mainly include skiing or snowboarding. Now if you’re like me, you do not enjoy to do either of those things. People like us are often left out of winter resorts, but don’t worry there are some out there that have much to offer if you do not want to ski. Let’s take a look at five great winter resorts where you don’t have to ski.

5. The Four Seasons Jackson Hole – Teton Village, Wyoming

First up we have a Four Seasons resort that offers a very unique experience for non-skiers. The resort is practically in Yellowstone National Park, meaning there is a lot to do here. If you want to go all out you and three friends can go on a helicopter safari ride over the park for $10,700 dollars.

4. Hotel Niseko Alpen – Niseko, Japan

Niseko in Japan gets some of the highest amounts of snowfall per year in the world making it a haven for skiers. Sure you can do that, but if that’s not you’re thing this massive resort offers many other winter sports to take part in like snow-rafting and snowmobiling.

3. The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz – St. Mortiz, Switzerland 

Aside from the amazing views that the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz in Switzerland, there is much to do here aside from skiing in the winter. There are opportunities to go ice skating, take a toboggan for a ride, or maybe even try your own at the bob sled course. If those are too much for you, than you can always try out some curling.

2. The Winterlake Lodge – Anchorage, Alaska 

If you want a winter resort but really don’t want to do anything and just get away from everyone, perhaps with a loved one, the Winterlake Lodge in Alaska is perfect. The lodge is fairly large and offers amazing views of forests, nearby glaciers, and the mountains. The only way to get here is via ski plane and it’s super remote. There’s no cellphone towers or main roads, and there are no neighbors around.

1. Whistler Blackcomb – British Colombia, Canada

Apart from skiing at Whistler, there is also much to do instead. The mountains here are very large and there is a large range of hiking trails and opportunities to scale mountains. They also have a few bungee jumping opportunities off of bridges and they are also home to Canada’s longest zip line. When you’re done with all that head over to the local micro-brewery for a refreshing beer.
