Adidas Attitude

10. The Attitude

The 1980’s brought the world the rise of the high-top basketball sneaker, and the Adidas Attitudes were certainly one of the greatest around. Released in 1987, the Attitudes were designed by Jeremy Scott and were certainly very bold. These large sneakers were part of a revival for Adidas to become more relevant as a brand, and they certainly live up to todays standards.

Originally released in 1980 as the “Tournament”, the sneaker now known as the Campus has quickly become one of the best Adidas’s ever. With it’s suede design, iconic stripes, and classic styling, the Campus’s are certainly a great “everyday” shoe. They are fairly vintage in style and they are also timeless. Perfect for people of all different fashion tastes and styles, the Adidas Campus is certainly one of the greats.

Adidas Pro Model

8. The Pro Model

The 1960’s were a time where consumers began to demand more “aggressive” looking shoes that were functional, and many companies quickly tried to come up with pairs to please consumers. Adidas gave the world their Pro Model sneaker in 1965, and it quickly became popular with basketball players. Athletes needed a high-top sneaker that was durable, and the Pro Model’s were among some of the favorites. This sneakers helped Adidas gain a stronger foothold in the world of basketball, and the shoes were classics the day that they came out.

During the mid-1980’s, Nike launched their Air Jordan brand with Michael Jordan, and soon many professional basketball players were looking to set up their own exclusive line of sneakers. The KB8’s were released back in 1997, and they were the first signature sneaker that were made for Kobe Bryant. The sneaker was very progressive and unique, and many consider the KB8’s to be one of the best basketball sneakers that Adidas has ever made. Adidas Yeezy 750 Boost

6. The Yeezy 750 Boost

Some readers might be upset that I included these sneakers on out list, given how new they are and the story behind them, however I feel that the Yeezy 750 Boosts are still one of the greatest shoes Adidas has ever released. Following his departure from Nike, Kanye West moved to Adidas in an effort to collaborate with the brand to create some very unique and high-quality sneakers. The 750 Boosts were one of the designs that they have come up with, and it’s personally one of my favorite pair of sneakers ever. Produced in a limited-run, the Yeezy 750 Boosts are high-tops that are somehow both aggressive/forward-thinking yet also extremely subtle and minimal at the same time. If you want a pair, then get ready to drop around $1,500 as that is about the average price for these sneakers on the resell market.

These sneakers were a first of their kind, and today they are the second best-selling shoe that Adidas has ever made.
