Did You Know Michael Jordan Has His Own Steakhouse?

Michael Jordan Steakhouse

Being the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan made a considerable amount of money. So being a smart business man, he invested his money in a variety of different things including a few restaurants. Michael Jordan wanted to open up a high quality steakhouse that would serve all of the traditional favorites. He opened up the first restaurant in New York City, and since then opened up two more: one in Connecticut and one in Chicago.

Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse focuses more on the “business Michael Jordan” rather than the “basketball Michael Jordan”. The interior of the restaurants are very upscale, and you will not find any sports memorabilia inside the restaurant. The first Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse opened up back in 1997 and is located right in the terminal of Grand Central Station. Given the location, this particular restaurant was extremely successful. The other two are located in Chicago on the Magnificent Mile, while the one in Connecticut is located inside the Mohegan Sun Casino.

The steakhouse’s serve lunch, brunch, dinner, and some bar food. Additionally they have a great wine selection and can whip up some classic cocktails. Off the dinner menu, appetizers will cost between $12-$20 dollars, entrees cost anywhere between $30-$50 dollars, and desserts are priced around $10 dollars. Some of the standout dishes are the shrimp scampi, the New York strip steak, the bone-in ribeye, the bone-in filet, the chilled ship with lobster and cocktail sauce, and the classic Nantucket lobster roll.

The New York restaurant overlooks Grand Central Station and is on the top floor of the train station. However if you want a more intimate dining experience, they have private dining rooms that you can reserve as well. If you are looking for a solid steak house experience, then definitely check out Michael Jordan’s steakhouse at any of their locations.
