The Top Five Luxury Hotels in Florence, Italy

florence

Florence is a city built on history, elegance and charm. It’s romantic and beautiful, and it’s the kind of place you envision yourself traveling when the kids are grown. When I think of Florence, I think of kids in college and my husband and I strolling hand-in-hand down cobblestone streets past historic landmarks on our way to enjoy a glass of vino at a darling café with outdoor seating. I imagine decadent dinners, romance and beauty at every turn. I’m already mentally shopping for a designer wardrobe to pack on this imaginary trip that I have to wait at least 16 years to make since that’s when the twins will go to college. At that point, I’m still staying in one of these luxury hotels.

With 34 suites, and the most spectacular rooftop suite in the world (so they say) this is one of the most luxurious hotels in all the world, and certainly Florence. It’s here you will find the most beautiful views and the most professional staff, and that’s just a small reminder of what makes this five-star hotel the best of the best. The hotel is owned by the Ferragamo family, and one night here starts at $3,100 for a basic suite. Every inch of the hotel is sheer luxury.

Each one is personally decorated by the most sought after decorators in the world, and each room is just a moment from the most beautiful streets, restaurants and locations in all of Florence. It’s a historic location that screams Renaissance, but it’s every bit a five-star resort. Rooms rates are anywhere from $1,000 per night and up.

Ask anyone who visits Florence on a regular basis and they will share with you that this is the place to go. It is the most amazing of luxury hotels, and it’s been here since the 18th century. With only 81 rooms and several luxury suites, we’re talking about luxury in every aspect. The colors of the hotel are rich and exceptionally luxurious, and the staff is perfection when it comes to being discreet. It’s everything that is luxurious about the city, and the building in which it is located was built in 1700. Rooms here are not cheap, starting at $1,000 per night based on the time of year you visit.

Despite the fact that the building itself is a historic building, everything about this five-star hotel is modern and luxurious. It’s located right in the midst of Palazzo Vecchio, and it’s got one of the most impressive bars and lounges in the city. It was remodeled in 2013 to bring with it the most modern luxuries, and the 74 rooms and 10 impressive suites are not possible to beat. Rooms here begin at $500 per night in the off-season and become more expensive the rest of the year.

What was once a 15th century monastery is now one of the most impressive hotels in all of Florence. It’s natural and beautiful, and the restoration of the building in the 1980s did not do any harm to the history charm and elegance of this gorgeous location. To stay here, where many of the world’s most prolific travelers prefer to stay, you’ll expect to spend at least $1500 per night.
