The Five Most Expensive Hotels in Ireland

ireland

Finding the most expensive hotel room in Ireland might seem like a pretty easy feat, but it actually is not. Would you believe that some hotels are far more expensive than others on certain nights, but downright affordable on other nights? Some hotels are not even that expensive on the regular, but they have suites and rooms that make them the most expensive in the country otherwise. Ireland is a beautiful country so lush and green, and the people there are rumored to be some of the most kind and accommodating in the world.

If you’re looking for the most expensive hotel in the country, you might want to figure out what you want in terms of expense, when you’re going and what you need. Prices change nightly, seasonally and all the time. For now, however, these are some of the most expensive hotels on a regular basis in all of Ireland.

castlemartyr

Castlemartyr – $1,000

Located in Co Cork, the presidential suite here is very affordable most nights at only $1,000 per night, but it does go up significantly on the weekends, holidays and busy times of year. The suite is actually classic with black marble, lots of neutral colors and the bathroom is the size of most people’s main living area. All the chandeliers are crystal, and it has its own private elevator that means you’ll never have to wait or make small talk with other hotel guests. It’s a room for the wealthiest of the wealthy, and you’ll never seen a ‘normal’ person here.

ballyfin

Ballyfin – $1,250

The Sir Christopher Coote Suite in this Co Laois hotel is the one in which Kimye spent a night on their honeymoon. It’s so expensive than it’s priced this low during the week. If you have to ask how much a night here is on the weekend, you cannot afford this suite. It’s perfect with views of the lake from every room, and wallpaper that dates back to the 18th century when it belonged to the Prince of Hanover. The furniture is Chippendale, and every single piece of décor in this room is the most expensive of luxury brands.

the marker

The Marker Hotel Dublin – $2,500

If you want to stay in an exclusive room that most everyone else in the world cannot afford to pay for, then you want the Presidential Suite at this hotel in Dublin. It’s more than 1,388-square feet in space. It has two bedrooms and a large foyer with high ceilings. Both rooms feature king beds, private bathrooms and the most luxurious white marble countertops. All the amenities in this room are designed by famous Malin+Goetz, and they’re all full-size. If you’re hosting friends, your dining room for six will be perfect. The bar is fully stocked, the iPad that comes with your room provides ample entertainment, and gorgeous views of the city make this exceptionally expensive.

the merrion

The Merrion – $3,200

Located in Dublin, the penthouse here is one of the most expensive room in the city for very good reasons. It’s a 2,195-square foot suite with its own rooftop terrace and a cedar hot tub. It’s got several floors, two private bedrooms with private baths, and a beautiful open-air living space with a private fireplace, television and surround sound to help you really enjoy the evenings. It also has a gym, an office and anything you might want in an empty room in the suite. You need only let the hotel know what you’d like this room to be when you visit and it will be set up like that for you.

powerscourt hotel

Powerscourt Hotel – $5,000

The presidential suite in this Wicklow hotel is the most amazing you’ll ever lay eyes upon. It is located on the top floor of the Ritz-Carlton, and it takes up the entire seventh floor. It has a rooftop terrace, views of Sugarloaf Mountain, and it has featherbeds. Recessed televisions are found in all the bathrooms, the living room has an open fire place and the terrace is amazing. There is a private steam room in the room, and there are two bedrooms both with 300-count linen sheets. It is luxury defined.
