Hotels are always popping up around the world, but more and more they are beginning to reach destinations that provide some of the most unique vacation experiences. Underwater hotels are a rising trend that allows guests to have an interesting time temporarily living under the sea. Although these rooms won’t be cheap, they are pretty amazing, so here are five of the most unbelievable underwater hotel rooms.

5. Hilton’s Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort 

The Maldives Rangali Island Resort sits 16 feet below the water surface but is a wonderful place to stay that allows guests to have a full view all around of the ocean. Visitors will receive full privacy under the sea in this resort that costs $815 per night.

4. The Manta Resort

The Manta Resort is located in Pemba Island, Zanzibar and is Africa’s first underwater hotel. The Manta Resort is astounding and is a three story building that allows guests to hang out both above and below sea level. The private resort offers a relaxing day bed on the structure’s roof with a quiet bedroom below looking out into the deep waters. The hotel room costs $1,500 per night for a couple and $900 per night for a single.

3. Jules’ Undersea Lodge

Jules’ Undersea Lodge is found in Key Largo, Florida that was originally a laboratory created in the ’70s for continental shelf exploration. The now hotel room is 30 feet below the surface and guests have to scuba dive their way down and enter through a wet room. The hotel costs $800 per night and even includes an underwater pizza delivery.

2. Poseidon Undersea Resort

The Poseidon undersea Resort is still a work in progress, but this is a full hotel with multiple rooms underwater that will offer great views out underwater. The Poseidon Undersea Resort will be 40 feet down and offer a restaurant, bar, library, conference room, wedding chapel, and even a spa. It will be accessible through a 16 person submarine and costs $30,000 per week for a couple.

1. Hydropolis

The Hydropolis is a long awaited project that has been constantly hit with delays in Dubai. The mega resort would extend to a depth of 65 feet and feature standard activities above and below ground. The resort is reportedly costing around $550 million to make and will hopefully become available soon.
