One of the defining features that a hotel can have, that differentiates itself from others is a breathtaking view. I’m talking about views that make you stop and think about where you all. Views where you reflect on all of the moments in your life that have lead to you overlooking this incredible, life changing vista that lays before you. Most luxury hotels are often in pretty areas, but things in the world are not created equal. There are hotels out there whose views will leave you speechless and appreciative of the world. We are going to look at five different luxury hotels whose views are absolutely striking.
5. The Shangri-La Hotel – Paris, France
The first hotel that we are going to take a moment to look at is the Shangri-La in Paris. There are many luxury hotels in Paris, but the Shangri-La is one of, if not the best one and the views are amazing. The hotel was opened up at the end of 2010 and it has proven to be an incredible experience. The hotel has 101 rooms and 36 luxurious suites that are styled exactly how you would expect the French to do it; you will feel like royalty here. Outside of the amazing spa, top notch service, the three restaurants, the fitness center, the indoor pool, and the fact that is located in the famous 16th arrondissement near many popular sites, the Shangri-La also has the best view of Paris. From most rooms you can see the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River, Les Invalides, the Montmartre, and the Louve. In a city known for romance, this is easily the most romantic hotel you can stay in and the views really seal the deal.
4. Paresa Resort – Phuket, Thailand
As we continue on with our list of luxury hotels with spectacular views, we find ourselves traveling across the world to Thailand. Thailand is definitely a more adventurous vacation spot than others, and while people travel here less than other spots, it is still pretty amazing. Located on the southern island of Phuket in a world far removed from everywhere else is the absolutely spectacular Paresa Resort. The resort is located on the side of the Kamala cliffs that look out over the Andaman sea. The resort is comprised of just 49 different villas and suites that overlook the water. Also each of them also come complete with their own personal infinity pool. You also get everything else a luxury resort has such as an amazing spa, fitness center, room service, fine dining, and more. Room range between $600-$4,000 plus dollars a night here.
3. The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise – Alberta, Canada
We find ourselves stopping in North America for the next hotel on our list with amazing views. Located on the green mountainous glacial lake that is Lake Louise and in the massive mountains of Banff National Park in Alberta Canada is the Fairmont Chateau. I felt that we needed two photos here to really hammer home just how massive these mountains are, and this is not a small hotel by any means. The massive hotel is built in a century old chateau that was made specifically for mountain goers traveling to the region. There are 550 premium guest rooms and suites in this hotel and they start at about $330 dollars per night. You’ll find great service, premium restaurants, a beautiful spa, and all of that other stuff you would expect. But the real attraction here are the views. There are plenty of hiking trails, kayaking routes, horse-back riding excursions as well. If you come in the winter then enjoy the many ski slopes, snow-mobile trails, and ice skating on the lake, either way its beautiful year-round here.
2. Ladera – Saint Lucia
Located on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia we find the exquisite Ladera hotel and resort. Set in the mountains that over look the Caribbean sea we find 37 luxurious suites and villas. All of them overlook the same vista that provides a breathtaking scene. You cannot really go wrong with a place like this. The resort originally opened up back in 1982 on an old cocoa plantation and has been captivating guests with its views ever since. You also get everything else with this resort like the spa, service, dining experience, and more.
The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong – Hong Kong, China
Finally we find our trip ending in Hong Kong. The Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong is just about as good as it gets when it comes to hotels. The hotel is located on the top floors of the tallest building in Hong Kong, the International Commerce Center. That simple fact also makes this hotel the tallest hotel in the world. You get everything that Ritz-Carlton’s offer here and they have spared no expense. The location of the International Commerce Center is sort of in the middle of the city, so you get outstanding views of this sprawling metropolis. This Ritz-Carlton certainly takes it up a notch, and is definitely one of the best in the world.
