Opened in October 1971, Disney World is the most visited vacation resort in the world, according to Forbes. Owned and operated by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, the Disney World property covers over 27,000 acres containing 27 themed resort hotels, four theme parks, two water parks, four gold courses, one camping resort, one residential area, and a number of other recreational and entertainment venues. Theme parks include Magic Kingdom, Disney World’s first and original theme park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
