The Most Expensive Hotels in Mexico

Throughout the years, Mexico has become a popular vacation destination and according to the World Tourism Organization, it has become one of the most visited countries in the world, and is also the second most visited country in the Americas. Mexico is popular for it’s Meso-American ruins, beaches, and resorts.  Each year, American college students flock to the country to celebrate their spring break.  While college students visiting the country may not be able to afford some of the most lavish accommodations the country has to offer; that doesn’t mean that they don’t exist.  Mexico is home to some beautiful hotels, and with that beauty comes a price.

Here is a list of the most expensive hotels in Mexico.

5. Dos Casa – $229 per night

Dos Casas is a boutique style hotel located in San Miguel de Allende.  The hotel is comprised of two formerly private owned homes and features only six guest rooms to provides visitors with a more intimate experience.  Dos Casas boasts an open style kitchen which allows guests to watch the chef prepare meals from the “freshest local ingredients.” Dos Casa promises to provide its guests with an authentic experience all while providing them with the latest design elements and warm hospitality.

4. Secrets The Vine Cancun – $298 per night

Secrets the Vine Cancun is an adults only hotel which promises to be “sparkling,” “elegant,” and “bold.”  The hotel features several ammenities including a spa and premium drinks.  The hotel has won several awards including the 2013 Crystal Apple Award for the best staff and service in Mexico.  All rooms at Secrets The Vine also feature a private terrace or balcony.

3. Azul Beach Hotel – $320 per night

The Azul Beach Hotel features an array of amenities including 24 hour room service, a stocked mini bar, and a terrace of balcony for each deluxe room.  The hotel also features a full service restaurant and a spa that boasts a “complete spa experience.” Guests at the the hotel can experience luxurious treatment while relaxing comfortably by the beach. The Azul Beach Hotel was also rated one of the top 25 hotels for romance in Mexico.

2. Casa de Mita $559 per night

Casa de Mita is a “villa-style” hotel that opened in 2001 and is located on Playa Careyeros.  The hotel features many luxurious amenities including “elegant cuisine”  and a menu that changes daily with all food made on site by the hotel’s chef. Casa de Mita also has complimentary car service for guests who would like to travel within immediate distance of the hotel.  Guests who would like to rent a car may also have the car delivered directly to the hotel.

The Esperanza Hotel is located in Los Cabos and features a “top tier approach to everything it does.” The hotel’s amenities include an infinity pool, a private beach, full service spa, and many other luxurious comforts.  Guests at the Esperanza can also enjoy playing golf on one of the property’s five golf courses, and visitors will also enjoy lovely scenery, fine dining, and top of the line hospitality all throughout their stay.
