The new year is quickly approaching, and with it brings many openings of new luxury hotels. From new Four Seasons to iconic hotels re-opening their doors after renovations, there are a host of different hotels that are set to open up across the world. These hotels will join the long list of many other luxury hotels as they look to lock down the respective markets that they are opening up in. So which hotels are some of the most anticipated ones that are set to open in 2016? Here are ten up and coming hotels to watch out for.

Mandarin Oriental Bali

10. The Mandarin Oriental Bali – Indonesia 

All of the various Mandarin Oriental properties are among some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, and you should be very excited about the upcoming Mandarin Oriental Bali. This beautiful island will now house one of the nicest hotels out there, and it is set to open sometime in the fourth quarter of 2016. Situated right on the Indian Ocean, The Mandarin Oriental Bali will offer 97 private villas that come with their own pools and an additional 24 guest rooms. The hotel will be extremely exclusive and offer all the amenities seen in rival five-star properties.

The Oberoi Marrakech

9. The Oberoi Marrakech – Morocco

While we are still waiting on official photos of the Oberoi Marrakech, it is yet another exciting hotel that is set to open sometime in the third quarter of 2016. The Oberoi Hotel’s are all styled like royal palaces and are filled with luxury amenities, so we can expect the same from this property in Morocco. The hotel will encompass some 25-acres of land in total, which will be filled with beautiful gardens and pools. Accommodations will be in the form of villas and suites, all of which come with private pools and views of the local area. Additionally their spa will be located on a small, private island, further accentuating the beauty of this upcoming hotel.

The Ritz Paris

8. The Ritz Paris – France

The Ritz Paris has remained to be one of the most desirable hotels in Paris for years, however it has been closed for renovations since 2012. Now it is finally set to open it’s doors in March of 2016, and the renovations are some of the most extensive that the 117-year-old hotel has ever seen. They have re-vamped pretty much every room within the hotel, including a brand new spa that was created with the help of Chanel.

7. Wynn Palace Cotai – Macau

Macau is filled with extravagant hotels and casinos, and one of the most exiting hotels that will open up in 2016 is the Wynn Palace Cotai. When your brand has the word “palace” in its name, it has to offer something quite special, and this hotel definitely will. Set to open in June of 2016, the property developers poured some $4.1 billion dollars into this project. The hotel will be 28 stories tall, it’ll offer 1,700 rooms and suites, it has its own private lake with a water show, there will be an extravagant spa, and plenty more. Hotel developers often go big when creating hotels in Macau, the gambling capital of the world, and that is certainly the case for the Wynn Palace Cotai.

Four Seasons Abu Dhabi

6. Four Seasons Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates

When Four Seasons opens up a hotel in the United Arab Emirates, typically it’s the epitome of luxury, and that will most likely be the case for the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi, set to open sometime in 2016. This will be the first property of theirs in the capital, and it will be located on Al Maryah Island within the Central Business District. The hotel will be located right on the water and it will offer 200 rooms and suites, 124 private residences, a variety of restaurants, a few bars, a spa, and much more.

Nobu Hotel Shoreditch

5. Nobu Hotel Shoreditch – England

The Nobu Hotel Shoreditch in London will be the first Nobu Hotel to open up in Europe, and it’s set to be a beautiful one. Set to open in the second half of 2016, the Nobu Hotel Shoreditch will be an extremely chic, modern, and design-focused hotel, much like the area that it is located in. The hotel will be extremely unique in terms of its architecture, and it will be five stories high and offer 156 luxurious rooms and suites.

St. Regis Cairo

4. St. Regis Cairo – Egypt

Set to open sometime in October of 2016, the St. Regis Cairo will be yet another beautiful up and coming hotel to watch out for. We already know that the St. Regis brand is essentially the epitome of luxury hospitality, and we expect the St. Regis Cairo to be yet another incredible property from the brand. Comprised of two towers located right on the Nile, the St. Regis Cairo will offer 229 rooms, 63 gorgeous suites, and all the amenities and features we can expect from the St. Regis brand. Additionally the property will also include some 99 small apartments and 117 larger private residences for those that want a more permanent stay in what will soon to be one of Egypt’s nicest hotels.

3. The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown – The United States

The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown will be the brands second property in New York City, and if it’s anything like their location in Midtown, it will surely be exceptional. Set to open sometime in the middle of 2016, this Four Seasons will be situated in the Tribeca section of the city, which is conveniently located near most of the cities hottest attractions. There will be 185 premium rooms and suites in total and a host of luxury amenities and features; it is a Four Seasons after all.

2. Il Sereno Lake Como – Italy

Located in arguably one of the most beautiful places in all of Europe, the Il Sereno Lake Como will definitely be a hotel to keep your eyes on once they open their doors sometime in Spring of 2016. This will be a five-star boutique hotel located right on the water and it will offer only 30 rooms in total. The hotel will feature a modern design with a focus on natural aesthetics, and it will easily be one of the nicest and most intimate hotels in this beautiful region.

One of the most anticipated hotels that will be opening their doors come 2016 is the Shanghai Disney Resort in China. This massive property will be the third theme park from Disney in Asia, and it will surely attract many guests. The property will be comprised of the large theme park and then two hotels: The Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and a Toy Story-themed hotel. The entire property is expected to open its doors sometime in Spring of 2016, and it will surely become one of the hottest destinations in the area for some time.
