10 of the Most Up and Coming Luxury Hotel Brands

New Luxury hotel Brands - Graduate Hotels

You might think that the hotel industry is oversaturated with hotels and hotel brands, and while that may seem correct, it is far from the truth. Every year new companies launch hotel brands that they hope will attract new customers. Whether their company is a small startup hotel brand or they are an established company like Hilton that is adding a new brand to their portfolio, new hotel brands are created every year. So what are some of the new luxury hotel brands to keep an eye out for in 2015? Here’s a list of ten amazing up-and-coming luxury hotel brands that are making waves.

10. Cordis Hotels and Resorts

Cordis is a brand new hotel brand that is being launched by the extremely large Langham Hospitality Group. Their goal is to create a line of hotels and resorts that are high-class and luxurious, yet they remain extremely affordable and accessible for the average consumer. Langham is changing their Langham Place Mongkok Hong Kong into the first Cordis hotel this coming summer, and they look to open new locations in America and Asia in the coming years.

9. Vib

Vib is a brand that has been recently introduced from Best Western, and while no hotels have been announced yet, they are positioning the brand really well. Essentially Vib hotels will be extremely modern and technology oriented and they will focus on attracting a younger and more urban clientele. The hotels will have plenty of computers, smart TV’s, video game stations, and a bunch of other stuff that relates to technology.

8. The Quorvus Collection

The Quorvus Collection is the newest brand from the Carlson Rezidor Group and they are positioning it as a five-star brand that is all about relaxation, luxury, and entertainment. The group is converting the G&V Royal Mile Hotel in Scotland and the Symphony Style Hotel in Kuwait to be the first of the new Quorvus Collection and more will follow.

7. Hyatt Centric

Boutique and artsy hotels are on the rise, and the Hyatt Centric is Hyatt’s answer to that trend. These will be moderately luxurious hotels that focus a lot on art and the food that they serve. The brand will be trendy and fun, yet also elegant and luxurious. They are opening up locations in Chicago and Miami and more are on the way.

6. Hotel Jen

Shangri-La introduced the Hotel Jen collection to be part of its portfolio, and ever since they first opened them they’ve been on the rise. The hotels are positioned as a mid-range hotel that balances luxury and service with affordability. Most of their properties are in Asia, but we should hope to see more opening up in Europe and America.

5. Proper Hotels

Proper Hotels is a brand established by Brad Korzen who used to be the CEO of the Viceroy Hotel Group. The first Proper is going to open up in San Francisco sometime later this year and many are already interested. The brand positions themselves as a semi-luxury hotel brand that focuses heavily on arts, culture, and food. All of the hotels will have multiple restaurants and bars, and they want to attract an eclectic clientele who like to enjoy themselves.

4. Graduate Hotels

Graduate Hotels is another up-and-coming hotel brand that is positioning themselves to attract a very specific market. Essentially they are quirky, fun, and luxurious hotels that are set up near large college towns. The thinking is that they want to offer parents visiting their children at school a nice place to stay, one that isn’t a fraternity hot-spot.

3. The OE Collection

From Loews Hotels & Resorts, the OE Collection is their newest brand. Standing for “Original Experiences” these hotels focus heavily on the locations that they are in and the culture surrounding those locations. Essentially they want their hotels to seamlessly fit into whatever city or town they are in, and for them to be heavily influenced by those areas while still offering luxury accommodations.

2. EVEN Hotels

EVEN Hotels are a small and fairly new brand of hotels from the InterContinental Hotels Group. They have two locations in Connecticut and Maryland, and three will be opening up in New York City next year. This brand focuses on health and wellness, and they are essentially one big spa that has been turned into a hotel. Sounds pretty good to me.

1. Virgin Hotels

Virgin Hotels is the new brand from Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group. They are the first hotels from Virgin and they are already making a splash with their first hotel in Chicago that has recently opened up. They are stylish, modern, and very luxurious. They aim to attract young luxury travelers and a hotel in Nashville and New York are on the way.
