When you think about premium fashion labels, brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace, and Givenchy often come to mind. While all those brands offer different products, they have one thing in similar: they’re either from France or Italy. In seems like since the dawn of fashion, brands and companies from either France or Italy are often considered to be the best. Those countries are known for their style, taste, and design, among other things, which is the reason why so many famous fashion brands are based out of these two European countries. However every now and then a brand comes along and changes the fashion industry, and this time they weren’t from Italy or France.

Zuhair Murad is both a man and a fashion label that hail from Beirut, Lebanon. Murad became interested in fashion as a young man and he hoped to create his own label one day. Quickly out of high-school he moved from Beirut to Paris to study all things related to fashion. After getting his degree in fashion, he came back to Lebanon to create his company. Now Zuhair Murad is an extremely desirable fashion brand, whose clothing is worn by many women across the world. Take just one look at their products and you can immediately tell they are in the big leagues.

Zuhair Murad sells a variety of products for women, however they specialize in haute couture and ready-to-wear. When the brand made their first appearance on a catwalk in Rome in 1999, the fashion world soon realized that it’s not just France and Italy that produced great designers and labels. Zuhair Murad became an instant hit and their products have been worn by celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Ivana Trump, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncè, Cheryl Cole, and many other women. When celebrities as big as these women wear your products, you know you’ve got a hit on your hands.

Still the most important achievement for Zuhair Murad was that he proved to the world that countries outside of France or Italy can make some great products, and that Lebanon is one of them. The Lebanese aren’t necessarily known for their fashion brands, but Zuhair Murad certainly put them on the map.
