Introducing the Audio-Technica ATH-R70X Headphones

Audio Technica ATH-R70X

Audio-Technica is probably a company that you might have not heard of, but one that you should probably get to know if you enjoy listening to music or are involved with music in someway. The company is from Japan and they produce headphones, microphones, turntables, and a variety of other music related gear. They have made somewhat of a name for themselves and the microphones used at the Grammy’s are from Audio-Technica. Audio-Technica is back at it and they have recently revealed their newest pair of flagship headphones: The ATH-R70X.

Audio-Technica isn’t the type of company that you purchase headphones that have red cords, crazy-colors, and are “cool”. Their headphones are the ones that you buy if you care about sound-quality. I personally have a pair of ATH-M50X’s and they are the best headphones I’ve ever had and I even found them to be nicer than my friends pair of $400 dollar Beats (the M50’s cost around $160). Their newest pair are from the ATH line and they are very premium headphones.

The ATH-R70X’s feature an open-back design which is a first from the company. These headphones are being marketed to professional musicians, recording artists, and audio technicians. Still if you just want a nice pair of headphones to listen to music, these are more than enough.

The headphones feature a pure alloy magnetic circuitry to reduce distortion and improve sound accuracy, a carbon composite structure, aluminum mesh housing to improve natural sound, a super lightweight design, an a dual-sided detachable cable that is L/R signal independent. The headphones also feature brand new drivers from Audio-Technica that sound better than ever.

Now despite the ATH-R70X’s being the companies flagship model of headphones, they are relatively affordable at $489 dollars. Sure paying nearly $500 dollars for headphones is definitely a lot, but if you really want some of the best sounding audio, these headphones will definitely help you achieve that.
