Webcams usually come in stock with all laptops, but there are people out there who still fancy powerful desktop computers; however, these desktops normally don’t come with a webcam to video chat or conference. Although it is easy to hop onto Amazon and find a cheap model from anywhere between $10 and $50, there are some top of the line high quality webcams that go way beyond the average consumer’s needs. Here are the most expensive webcams out in the market today.

5. Panasonic BL-C131A – $400

The Panasonic BL-C131A looks like most modern security cameras consumers will find hanging from a door or in a room. These webcams are mainly used for surveillance and thermal imaging, but transmit right to the computer and offer a boxed viewing screen for each that you have placed on the property. It has fixed focus wit ha built in microphone and can even shoot in night vision.

4. Logitech Alert 750n – $566

The Logitech Alert 750n model looks like the standard camera that is also used for surveillance as well as outdoor documentation. The network adapter is nicely small and this webcam even features a wide angle lens mode to get multiple video and photo types. It features a 2 ghz processor and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

3. Y-Cam Bullet – $575

The Y-Cam Bullet is another outdoor and surveillance webcam that can come in the circular semi-sphere model or the traditional longer tube like camera. The webcam has a 30 frames per second rate and an auto white balancing feature to keep video clear.

2. Logitech Alert 750e – $657

The Logitech Alert 750e is a newer model of the previously talked about that looks smaller than before in it’s aerial mounted version. The alternative camera that would stick out from a wall is high quality and will offer some great video on a wide area of space. This camera also includes night vision and a wide angle lens.

1. Logitech Alert 700e – $665 

The Logitech Alert 700e is the most pricey of the alert series coming in at $665. The camera looks slightly clunkier than the rest and does not come available in the semi-sphere version. This camera only offers 15 fps and contains the same 2 ghz processor, but does come with automatic low-light correction, face detection and tracking, as well as night vision.
