The Price is Right is Offering Up 500K Luxury Cars This Week

"The Price Is Right"

Daytime television is typically uninteresting and filled with game shows and soap operas. As the majority of people are either at work or in school, entertainment companies often find trouble creating incentives to get people to watch their day time television programs. Well popular day time game show, The Price is Righthas a variety of luxury cars that they will be giving away to game winners. The show has dubbed this week as “Dream Car Week” and is giving away many spectacular cars.

The “Dream Car Week” started this past Monday (10/13) and The Price is Right is giving away over $500,000 of vehicles all for your viewing pleasure. The show has selected a strong set of vehicles that would surly please any winner. This entire week they will be giving away a Porsche Cayenne, a Range Rover Sport SE, a Tesla Model S, a Maserati Quattroporte S Q4, and a V8 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster. The show itself is well known for giving away a variety of prizes, and ofter cars are the most desirable. People get excited when the win a Jeep or a Dodge Charger however the cars they have currently this week are way more exciting. The Price is Right has had a Ferrari 458 as a prize in the past, but unfortunately no one one that car. Over the history of The Price is Rights 42 seasons, over 8,000 brand new cars were given away as prize.

Now obviously it would be extremely exciting for someone to win an Aston Martin, however there are some things to consider. Everyone knows that people who win the lottery do not get all of the money, as they have to pay some of it to the Federal Government in the form of taxes (boo). Well that holds true for these cars. The IRS will classify these vehicles as “income” on the tax returns of the winners, so that means the winners will be taxed accordingly, and these cars are expensive. Additionally the cost to insure and service an Aston or a Maserati is very expensive and the average U.S. person probably can’t afford this (if they could we would see Astons all over the place, but we don’t). Regardless it still would be amazing to win one of these incredible vehicles.
