Ford has recently unveiled a variety of new vehicles including the brand new 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang. People were very impressed with this vehicle and it got a lot of people talking. Over the years Ford has sort-of fallen off the map a little when it comes to producing sports cars, and they hope this car will bring them back. The company has given this new Mustang many awesome features including a new engine. Let’s take a quick look at this great car.
The Shelby name has always been synonymous with speed and performance, and that is exactly what you are going to get with this Mustang. The Shelby GT350 Mustang’s main feature is its all new engine from Ford. The vehicle has a 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that delivers more than 500 hp and over 400lb-ft of torque. It’s actually the most powerful naturally aspirated engine that Ford has ever made, so this Shelby Mustang is quite special.
The vehicle also features an enhanced race-like suspension, new and improved brakes, and six-piston front binders. Ford has also evenly spaced the crank pins of the car at 180-degree intervals to help improve the vehicles performance. Essentially what that does is allow a cylinder-firing order that reduces the overlapping of the engine’s exhaust pulses. This allows the engine to perform better, to cool down easier, and it gives the engine a unique sound.
Ford has also altered some aspects of this new Mustangs body work, further differentiating itself from the other Mustang’s in Ford’s lineup. When the vehicle finally comes out, it is expected to cost around $58,000 dollars. All things considered, you do get a lot of car for that price, however Corvette’s are only a bit more expensive.
