Mercedes seems to be preparing for 2015 with a ton of new cars lined up to hit the market very quickly. The company recently announced it was finally releasing an SUV model that will compete with cars like the BMW X series and Audi’s Q5, while also having some limited edition sports models coming out as well. Now the company has announced that their upcoming Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be hitting the market in 2015 and the company has settled on a price tag of $166,700 for the vehicle.
The Maybach cars are extremely nice luxury vehicles that go above and beyond the normal car in style and comfort. The company competes with cars like Rolls Royce and Bentley, which are very high quality and known for their luxury. Maybach attempted to produce and sell their cars alone since 2002 but did not see enough success or return and decided to stop production until Mercedes started backing the company. Now there seems to be a great balance and Mercedes is attracting many more buyers to these high quality cars. The combination of the companies has created this new amazing S-class vehicle that is sure to attract buyers when pre-orders are made available. The new S-Class is a way to travel in style for Mecedes lovers that have wanted to upgrade to a nicer car than the typical sports cars that the company releases year in and year out.
Being able to compete with Bentley and Rolls Royce will certainly help boost Mercedes sales and gives them a new specific market to target within the automobile market. The price of the car reflects the competing vehicles of this class and is a fair price for what customers will be getting. Only time will tell of whether or not Mercedes is able to help resurrect the Maybach brand, but the new S-Class is an amazing start.
