The McLaren 675LT Supercar Generates More Power Than The 650S

If you’re a fan of cars, then you’ve got to admit that McLaren has been killing it these past few years. From the introduction of the P1 to now, McLaren has definitely regained its spot in the world of supercars. The company continues to impress us with their recently unveiled 675LT and they’ve managed to make it even more powerful than a 650S. Let’s take a quick look at this impressive vehicle.

The McLaren 675LT sits in-between the 650S and the P1 and is theoretically their “mid-ranged” vehicle, that is to say as much as a $350,000 dollar car can be considered “mid-ranged”. Still the 675LT is a total beast from head to toe. While looking fairly similar, compared to the 650S, McLaren managed to shave off 220 pounds of fat which is a big difference. Like an extremely noticeable difference. The 675LT is all about the race track, so you can bet that it performs exceptionally well. Many aerodynamic improvements have been made, they’ve added an extended carbon-fiber splitter, there are more cooling intakes, and they put in two circular titanium exhaust pipes among other changes and additions, so this car is really all about going fast. But how fast?

The 675LT has got a twin-turbo V8 engine that McLaren modified to deliver 666hp. Yes, the devil would love to drive this car. That engine combined with the fact that the car is very lightweight, allows it to travel from 0 to 62mph in an absurdly quick time of just 2.9 seconds. With a top speed of 205mph, this car is certainly a supercar in every aspect of the word.

The new McLaren 675LT should be hitting dealerships around the world later this year, and it will be offered in five different colors. If I had $350,000 dollars to spend on a supercar, I would know exactly which one to get.
