A Look At The Maserati Alfieri, Maserati’s New Concept Car

Maserati Alfieri

Every few years car companies release concept vehicles to display all that they have to offer. These cars serve to show consumers where the company plans on taking their vehicles as they look forward to the future. Concept cars are typically very cool and are some of the most attractive vehicles that a company has to offer. For Maserati, one of their most recent concept cars is the Maserati Alfieri.

Maserati sells a variety of different vehicles, however their more popular vehicles are their four-door sedan and saloon cars like their Ghibli and Quattroporte. Maserati even has an SUV model coming out soon, so it seems that the company is moving more towards that direction. Maserati wanted to remind its fans, that while they are making more luxury 4-door vehicles, their true passion is still making awesome 2+2 GT cars.

The vehicle was built at Maserati Centro Stile in Turin, Italy by an elite team of lead automotive designers who were led by Marco Tencone and Lorenzo Ramaciotti. The team brought the car to life to be the shining example of the future of Maserati. The Alfieri is based on the GranTurismo MC Stradale as its foundation, however the Alfieri features a smaller wheelbase. The Alfieri, while stylistically very different from the MC Stradale uses its 4.7 liter V8 engine with 460 horsepower and 384 pounds-feet of torque. The Alfieri also features a six-speed automated transmission and limited-slip rear differential. The vehicle also features unique frontal air ducts, a new grill, and a long nose thats low to the ground. The vehicle also has a pretty amazing interior that is clean and minimalistic, making good use of its multiple touch-screens to display information, rather than knobs and switches.

Maserati really hit a home run with the Alfieri, however since its a concept car it is not being mass-produced. While Maserati has revealed that they are still uncertain whether to produce this vehicle or not, they did confirm that we will see many of the stylistic features that the Alfieri has in the future.
