Check Out Ferarri’s Limited-Edition Convertible based on the LaFerrari

There is nothing about Ferrari that isn’t amazing. Trust me when I say that driving one of these bad boys down the 405 in Southern California is one of the most exhilarating life experiences you might ever have. It’s seriously something amazing, and it’s not something you’ll ever forget – and I have a photo to prove it. Ferrari is already gorgeous, and now the brand is getting even better than it was before. It’s just a reminder to those of us who cannot spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on one car that there are people who can – and will – spend this kind of money on something that really has no purpose other than to make you drool.

It turns out that the LaFerrari hybrid is about to get even better than ever. This fall, it will head to Paris in the form of a convertible, and that’s all we need to hear to make us wonder how we can get one of our own. Well, we can’t, but we can tell you about it so that you can add it to your list of things to pick up next time you head out. Okay, okay; we are kidding. Let’s face it; this is a car that you are never going to own even if you do have hundreds of thousands of additional dollars lying around with no purpose. Ferrari announced that it might bringing this car to the Paris Car Show, but it’s a limited edition. And before you call trying to get on the list – they’re sold out.

We don’t even know how much this car costs, but we do know that the one without a convertible top cost $1.3 million, so we know the drop-top is more expensive. To make you even more upset that one will never be yours, this vehicle is a rear-wheel drive hybrid. It’s great on gas, has a V12 780-horsepower engine, and it has a 155-horsepower electric motor when you’re being fuel efficient. The engine is in the rear, the car sets two, and we have no idea how many have been made or what the official name of the vehicle will be.

What we do know, however, is that they’re sold out and that there are only a certain number of people who will ever drive this car – and that number will be announced this fall. You might prefer another hybrid sports car, however, since this LaFerrari does not work in only Electric-Mode. That’s a bit of a downfall, but everything else about it is pretty impressive. Right now nothing is known except that the company decided to modify a few pieces of the hardtop LaFerrari in terms of stiffness and chassis as well as aerodynamics. It’ll be fast, it’ll furious, and it will likely never be yours. When you think about it, though, that’s precisely what makes this car so desirable. The fact that we can look but not touch makes it all that much more impressive to those of us who can only dream.
