The previous record for a single owner car collection auction has been shattered.  The Pinnacle Portfolio has fetched an incredible $67 million at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey Sale that was held at the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance week in California.    The incredibly high number was reached with the sale of twenty five cars. all of which are owned by an anonymous Florida collector (yes we wish we had the name too!).    The highest price vehicle that was sold is a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM that sold for $17.6 million.

Other Ferraris in the sale included a 1994 Ferrari F40 LM that sold for $3.3 million and the last Ferrari Enzo produced that was given to Pope John Paul II in 2005 fetched $6.05 million.  The rarest of Ferrari‬ supercars, the ’85 Ferrari 288 GTO realized $2,420,000.

While a 1998 McLaren F1 LM road version fetched $13.75 million, marking the highest price ever paid for a McLaren at auction, a Koenigsegg CCXR that appeared in the movie “Fast Five” sold for $825,000. The sale total beat the previous record for a collection from a single owner of $65 million.
