Buick, a car brand that has become fairly uninspiring over the years has recently done something quite incredible that has a lot of people talking. At the recent Detroit Auto Show they unveiled a sleek and sporty 2+2 concept car. It’s called the Buick Avista, and while it’s just a concept car, it could potentially be the vehicle to revitalize the aging brand.
Buick is certainly not known for their performance vehicles, which is why the Avista is quite refreshing. This 2+2 looks like a cross between a Jaguar and a Tesla, and it’s probably the best looking car they’ve created in number of years. While it only has two doors, the vehicle is still large and offers plenty of room for four passengers.
Under the hood the Buick Avista is equipt with a twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers some 400-horsepower in total. Add in rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission, and this is probably the most exiting Buick perhaps ever. It looks good from all sides, the interior is advanced and modern, and it’s quite powerful.
Now there’s no indication as to whether or not Buick will actually produce this car for the general public, however it’s been hinted that “it might go into production”. We hope that they do choose to produce the Avista, as it’s one of the most attractive and exciting Buicks we’ve seen in a long time.
