Bentley Updates the Continental GT for 2016

Bentley Continental GT 2016

Refined, sophisticated, and powerful. Those are only just a few words that you can use to describe the Bentley Continental GT and it is certainly an amazing automobile. We’ve been waiting since 2011 for and updated line of Continental GT’s from Bentley, and they are finally here. While the improvements and updates may not seem that noticeable, they are certainly welcomed and this great line of vehicles has now only gotten better. Let’s take a look at the updated Continental GT’s for 2016.

The first change that we notice when looking at the new Bentleys, are the updated and new front ends. The front bumper has been redesigned, the grille is somewhat smaller, they have added some side vents to the bumper. These changes have made the vehicle look a bit more aggressive, yet it is not over the top or in your face. The wheels have also bene redesigned and there are now three different versions for consumers to choose from.

We also see a new chrome “B” logo on both sides of the vehicle, which we have to say that we do quite like. Aside from minor appearance changes, some of the 2016 Continental GT’s are now more powerful. The 12-cylinder engines used in the GT Coupe and the GT Convertible have been increased from 567hp to 582hp and the torque has gone up from 516ft-lbs to 531ft-lbs. So now these large vehicles are even faster and everyone always likes more power.

The interiors of the Continental GT’s have also been improved and updated. There is now a new stitching pattern, more options, new leather, new controls, a redesigned steering wheel, larger shifting paddles, and other changes that improve the driving experience overall. While these changes may seem minor, when brought together, these new Continental GT’s are now more impressive than ever. The new 2016 models are set to go on sale this summer and pricing should be announced later in the year.
