An extremely rare Ferrari is headed to an RM Sotheby’s auction, and officials estimate it that it could fetch some $3.6 million dollars. The vehicle in question, a 1962 400 Superamerica LWB Coupé Aerodinamico, has been maintained in great condition over the years before being restored in 1980, and it is yet another classic Ferrari that’s attracting car collectors from around the world.

The Ferrari 400 Superamerica LWB Coupé Aerodinamico is the first vehicle produced within the second-series of this car. Ferrari extended the wheelbase for this particular model, as their LWB grand tourers of the time were incredibly popular. This is officially the first vehicle within that series, as indicated by the chassis number, and Ferrari made only just 18 examples in total. So needless to say, the vehicle is quite rare. The Ferrari 400 features an original paint job combination of Grigio Argento over Nero which accents it’s interior quite nicely.

Under the hood, this Ferrari is outfitted with a 3.9-liter SOHC V12 engine that’s has three Weber 40 DCZ 6 carburetors, a four-speed manual gearbox, and overdrive. In total, the original vehicle was able to deliver 340 bhp, however cars do lose some horses over the years. Regardless, it’s still a more than capable classic Ferrari.

The vehicle will be auctioned off at an upcoming RM Sotheby’s auction that will be held in Paris on February 3rd. Many estimate that it will potentially sell for that $3.6 million dollar figure, however we wouldn’t be surprised if it sold for even more than that.
