The Rollings Stones are one of the biggest international rock bands of all time. The band has released 29 studio albums since their start in 1962 along with 13 live albums and plenty more compilations, EPs, and video albums. The Rolling Stones are one of the most legendary bands and are still out there performing today, and these are their highest selling albums.
5. Let It Bleed
Let It Bleed was released in 1969 and was the Rolling Stones’ eighth studio album. It featured only nine tracks but included “Gimme Shelter” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”. The album temporarily knocked the Beatles’ Abbey Road album out of the #1 album spot in the UK while also reaching number 3 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums.
4. Aftermath
Aftermath was the fourth studio album from the Rolling Stones that was released in 1966. The album featured heavy rock and blues rock sounds that made up some of their largest hits. The album featured 14 total sons including “Under My Thumb”. This album also reached a platinum status and continued to add to the band’s already massive success.
3. Sticky Fingers
Sticky Fingers was released in 1971 and was the first released under Rolling Stones Records. Sticky Fingers is considered to be one of the band’s best albums and went 3x platinum in the United States. This album included hits from the Stones such as “Brown Sugar”, “Wild Horses” and “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”.
2. Beggars Banquet
Beggars Banquet was released in 1968 through Decca Records in the UK and London Records in the United States. The album had two sides that featured ten total songs lasting for just under 40 minutes. The album has more of a traditional rock feel compared to the psychedelic sound of their other tunes.
1. Exile on Main Street
Exile on Main Street was a double album released by the Stones in 1972. The album was a total length of 67 minutes and is considered to be one of the greatest rock album of all time. Exile on Main Street was packed with 18 songs and immediately hit number one on the worldwide rankings right as the band set out onto their American tour. The album went platinum in all forms and is one of the best ever created.
