The Highest Selling Britney Spears Albums of All-Time

2011 MTV Video Music Awards - Press Room

Britney Spears signed her first recording contract back in 1997, and since then has had a long, interesting, but successful career. The singer has released eight studio albums as well as plenty of other compilations and EPs throughout the years. She was the center of attention when she shaved her head, but since then has been able to bounce back and continue making music. Here are the highest selling Britney Spears albums of all time.

5. Circus – 4.5 Million

Circus released in 2008 and was the sixth studio album released by Britney Spears. The record was released by Jive and was 46 minutes long with a total of 13 tracks. The big hit on this album was her lead song, “Womanizer” which was immediately on the Billboard Hot 100 and after a week hit the top spot on the chart. The album did not sell a massive amount of copies, but still reached a decent 4.5 million for the artist’s sixth album.

4. In the Zone – 10 Million

In the zone was released in 2003 and continued to reveal that Britney wasn’t as popular compared to years past. Her fourth album only sold 10 million copies worldwide, but still featured a massive hit in “Toxic”. Spears was originally going to take some time off after her breakup with Justin Timberlake, but ended up writing songs while on tour and having enough music to record another album.

3. Britney – 15 Million

Her self titled album, Britney, was released in 2001 pretty much immediately after the success of her first two albums. The third record was once again released by the label Jive and had 12 tracks on it. The album was filled with more hits like “I’m a Slave 4 U” and “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman”

2. Oops!… I Did It Again – 24 Million

Britney’s second studio album, Oops!… I Did It Again was another successful hit that sold 1,319,000 copies in its first week and received positive reviews. The entire album is 44 minutes in length and features 12 tracks, including a cover of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones. Another hit record for the pop-star continue to elevate her career and guaranteed another album.

1. …Baby One More Time – 30 Million

This was Britney’s first album and released back in 1999. The album was a total duration of 42 minutes and featured 11 tracks. The single and album title track was “…Baby One More Time” which was a huge hit and started Britney’s career of stardom. While the album received a bunch of mixed reviews, it hit the top of the charts in multiple countries.
