Harry Potter is a globally loved book and movie series that has brought in billions of dollars. The movies brought on even more fans for those who never read the books but were still interested in the story, and opened up a final opportunity to make money by splitting the seventh book adaptation into two movies rather than one. The Harry Potter film series were immediate worldwide hits that made tons, but here are the films in order of their worldwide gross.

5. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – $896,911,078

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was the fourth installation of the series that was directed by Mike Newell and written by Steve Cloves. The all star cast once again put on fantastic performances and had everyone going to see the movie. It brought in just over $290 million domestically and just under $897 million worldwide.

4. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – $934,416,687

The Half-Blood Prince was the sixth movie in the series and released back in 2009. It was directed by David Yates and cost $250 million to make. The movie failed to continue the streak and make more than the previous film, but was still a huge hit that generated millions of sales. The movie made $301 million domestically and still raked in over $934 million worldwide.

3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – $939,885,929

The Order of the Phoenix is the series favorite book and movie for a lot of fans, which is why it made so much in the box office. The Order of the Phoenix was directed by David Yates, who also directed the final two films as well, and ran for two hours and 19 minutes. The movie cost only $150 million to make and grossed $292 million domestically while making just under $940 million worldwide.

2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt.1 – $960,283,305

The final two movies in the series covered the seventh book, but were split to make more money and possibly receive more award nominations. The Deathly Hallows Part 1 ran exactly two and a half hours and the production budget was around $250 million for both movies. This marked the beginning of the end for the movie series and generated $295 million in the domestic market and $960 million worldwide.

1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt.2 – $1,341,511,219

The Harry Potter film series final installment; The Deathly Hallows Pt.2, was the largest of them all and rightfully so. The movie would finally bring the epic finish that book readers and movie watchers everywhere had been waiting for. It ran for two hours and ten minutes but sent off the characters perfectly, finishing the great adaptation of the books. The movie generated $381 million domestically and a mega $1.3 billion worldwide.
