Broadway in New York City has always been known as the prime location to see plays and musicals. It is so famous and is known throughout the world. Broadway productions are the real deal, and if you are an actor than lands a gig on Broadway, then many people will tell you that “you’ve made it”. There are many theaters on Broadway that are playing a variety of different shows. We are going to take a look at the some of the most expensive that are currently on Broadway. Note, the following tickets are for Friday night shows and the prices include that various additional fees.

Aladin – $122 – $340
The Disney classic Aladin has currently been adopted for the stage and is one of the more expensive shows out right now. The film has been adopted into a musical, and the current rendition is pretty exceptional. The Arabian theme of the show allows for extravagant costumes and sets that are rich with color and life. Tickets start at $122 for the way back seats, while floor seats in the front will run you about $340 dollars.
Wicked – $157 – $373
Popular theoretical version inspired by The Wizard of Oz, has been around for some time however it is still an extremely sought after show. The musical follows a different perspective of events that occurred in the original film, this time following around the various witches of the fictional land. Tickets start at $157 and get as high as $373 dollars.
The Lion King – $168-$322
Another Disney classic, The Lion King, has also been adapted for the stage. This musical is pretty great and is appropriate for the whole family. The production value is top notch and you’ll see many great costumes as the actors are dressed up like animals. Tickets range between $168-$322 dollars.
The Book of Mormon – $255 – $538
Critics have been raving over The Book of Mormon since it first debuted in 2011. The musical was created by the creators of South Park: Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The musical is about their satirical interpretation of the Mormon religion. It’s one of the most expensive shows currently on Broadway with prices starting at $255 dollars and getting as high as $538 dollars per ticket.
