Actors and actresses are known to go to great lengths to real get into a role, and sometimes that means you have to take your clothes off. Going completely nude for a film is not always a requirement, but depending on the movie and the studio, getting naked in front of a camera could mean a big pay day. Obviously this decision is left up to the actor or actress, and while not all of them get nude, plenty do. Here is a list of 20 celebrities that bared it all for the money.

20. Uma Thurman – Dangerous Liaisons
American actress Uma Thurman is best known for her work in Pulp Fiction, Gattaca, The Kill Bill series, Les Misérables, and a variety of other films. She played a large role in the 1988 Dangerous Liaisons in which she made an appearance without clothing. The film was based on a play by Christopher Hampton and it starred Glenn Close, John Malkovich, Keanu Reeves, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Uma and it is a period drama about the times in France after the revolution. The film is about Glenn Close’s character, Marquise de Merteuil who’s a romantic and a sexually amoral character than wants to seek revenge against his ex-lover. Passion, romance, and sex are essentially the key elements of the film, so it’s no surprise that we see some of the cast without their clothes on.

19. Helen Mirren – Age of Consent
Legendary English actress Helen Mirren has starred in a wide range of films over her career and has won an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards, four Emmy’s, and a host of other awards over the years. Those that are familiar with her earlier work will also know that’s she’s not afraid to get naked in front of a camera. She bared it all in the 1969 film Age of Consent, which, based on the name alone, is no big surprise. She’s appeared nude in a few other films, but has recently just came out and said that she will no longer take her clothes off for film.

18. Emilia Clarke – Game of Thrones
Emilia Clarke is a fairly new actress on the scene, but has already took the world by storm for her portrayal as Daenerys Targaryen in the extremely popular Game of Thrones. She joined the show from the start of season one, and her character quickly became a fan favorite. In Game of Thrones, particularly the first season, she made a few appearances without clothing.

17. Harvey Keitel – Bad Lieutenant
Harvey Keitel is an American actor that is best known for his roles in Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, The Duelists, Reservoir Dogs, The and Pulp Fiction. He’s known for being an extremely “comfortable” actor and doesn’t mind getting naked for the camera. He has done a few nude scenes in some movies, and has even done full frontals in Bad Lieutenant and The Piano.

16. Malin Akerman – Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
Swedish-Canadian actress Malin Akerman has appeared in a few movies and television shows over the years, and consistency proves that she’s very comfortable with her body. She first appeared nude in the 2004 comedy Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, and has subsequently also taken her clothes off in The Heartbreak Kid, Watchmen, and Wanderlust, among others.

15. Salma Hayek – Desperado
Salma Hayek made her breakthrough as an actress in Mexico during the late 1980’s, and then moved to Hollywood in the 1990’s to pursue a career in acting full-time. It wasn’t very difficult for her to secure roles, between her attractive looks and great talent, and she has gone on to star in a number of films over the years including Dogma, From Dusk till Dawn, Wild Wild West, Frida, and Grown Ups. Salma also went nude in the 1995 film Desperado alongside Antonio Banderas.

14. Ewan McGregor – Trainspotting
The star of Star Wars, Big Fish, and a number of other films, Ewan McGregor, has also made a fully-nude appearance in film. He first bore it all in the 1996 Transporting, which would propel the young actor into the limelight, successfully establishing his career in film. If you’re familiar with that film, than you know Ewan’s quite comfortable with getting naked. So comfortable, that he’s also appeared nude in Pillow Book, Young Adam, and Velvet Goldmine as well.

13. Amanda Seyfried – Chloe
Amanda Seyfried is an American actress that made her debut on the big screen in the highly-popular comedy Mean Girls. Since then, she has gone on to make appearances in a variety of films including Nine Lives, Jennifer’s Body, Dear John, Lovelace, and A Million Ways to Die in the West. She is also not afraid to get naked for her roles, and has appeared nude in Alpha Dog, the erotic thriller Chole, Dear John, and in Lovelace.

12. Jessica Biel – Powder Blue
Jessica Biel first started out as a trained vocalist, and her small career in music quickly transitioned onto the big screen. The American actress has been seen in many films like Ulee’s Gold, The Rules of Attraction, Blade: Trinity, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, The A-Team, and Total Recall. She also portrayed to role of Rose-Johnny, a troubled stripper, in Powder Blue, where she is also seen completely nude.

From England, Jude Law is an accomplished actor that has won a few awards and has made incredible acting performances over his career. He’s well-known for his roles in Gattaca, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Cold Mountain, The Aviator, Contagion, Hugo, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and The Talented Mr. Ripley where he also wasn’t afraid to take of his clothes for that extra pay bonus.

10. Marisa Tomei – Untamed Heart
Marisa Tomei began her career as an actress in the 1983 television show As the World Turns. Following her successes in that show and others, she quickly transitioned into film. She saw her major breakthrough in the 1992 My Cousin Vinny, where she received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Marisa has also appeared without clothing in a few films over the years. She first appeared nude in a European extended cut of the film Untamed Heart, in addition to the films Slums of Beverly Hills, Factotum, Loverly, Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, The Wrestler, and Loitering With Intent.

9. Heather Graham – Boggie Nights
Heather Graham came to prominence as an actress for he roles in License to Drive, Drugstore Cowboy, Six Degrees of Separation, and Twin Peaks, and has gone on to appear in a few popular films like The Hangover. She’s also no stranger to taking her clothes off on film either. Heather has appeared nude in Boogie Nights, Killing Me Softly, Broken, Adrift in Manhattan, The Hangover, and a few other films as well.

Kevin Bacon is a successful American actor who has made many appearances in both television and film. He’s been in so many different shows and movies, that there’s actually a game called “The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” which you can play on this website. So he’s been in almost too many different things to count, and was also not afraid to do a full-frontal nude scene in the 1998 Wild Things.

7. Charlize Theron – 2 Days in the Valley
Charlize Theron is best known for her role as Aileen Wuornos in the 2003 Monster, where she won an Academy Award and a Golden Glboe Award for Best Actress. She’s appeared in a variety of films over the year, most recently in Mad Max: Fury Road, Prometheus, and A Million Ways to Die in the West. Like other celebrities on our list, she’s also not afraid to go nude on camera. 6. Jason Segel – Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Funny man Jason Segel has appeared in a few films over the years, typically as a comedic role. We’ve seen him in How I Met Your Mother, Freaks and Geeks, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Five-Year Engagement, Sex Tape, and I Love You, Man. Jason isn’t exactly an actor that you would peg for doing nude scenes, but he appeared in a full-frontal nude scene in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry has had an extremely successful career in Hollywood over the years. She’s known for her roles in Swordfish, Die Another Day, the X-Men series, Monster’s Ball, Cloud Atlas, and Catwoman, among other roles. She too has also appeared nude on the big screen, first in Swordfish, and then in Monster’s Ball, Gothic, Things We Lost in the Fire, and Frankie & Alice.

4. Micheal Fassbender – Shame
Michael Fassbender has been in a range of films over the years, but has become even more famously quite recently for his roles in Inglorious Basterds, X-Men: First Class, Prometheus, 12 Years a Slave, and the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic. Fassbender also makes the list as he appeared naked in the 2011 film Shame, where he plays a sex addict.

Eva Greene is a French actress that first started out as a model and an an actress in the theater before she transitioned into the big screen. Greene has delivered standout performances in Kingdom of Heaven, Casino Royale, 300: Rise of an Empire, and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Eva has also bared it all for the money a few times actually. 2. Angelina Jolie – Gia
Angelina Jolie is an actress that needs no introduction, as she is one of the most accomplished and successful actresses of recent times. Like the others, Angelina has gone nude a few times for a variety of different roles. She first appeared nude in Cyborg 2, and went on to shoot nude scenes in a few different films, most notably Gia, Original Sin, Taking Lives, and Changeling.

We conclude our list with the lovely Anne Hathaway. The American actress is well-known for her roles in The Princess Diaries, Havoc, Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada, The Dark Knight Rises, Les Misérables, and Interstellar. Anne has also appeared in a few nude scenes in Havoc, Brokeback Mountain, and Love and Other Drugs.
