The CODE2040 Residency Continues to Empower Black and Latino Entrepreneurs (Sponsored)

2040 will be the year in which the U.S. reaches “Minority Majority” in the United States. In the spirit of our diverse future, Google for Entrepreneurs is sponsoring a series of startups founded by African-American and Latino founders through the CODE2040 Residency project.

CODE2040 is partnering with tech hubs across the nation in Austin, Chicago, Detroit, Durham, Minneapolis, Nashville and San Francisco to host the country’s most promising startups. Startups that are accepted into the program will be supported in building their company, but with tapping into their local communities in order to promote diversity on a grassroots level.

Applicants who are accepted into the program will receive a full year of support from CODE2040, including:

  • a $40,000 stipend
  • workspace
  • quarterly retreats
  • a trip to the Googleplex for training and networking
  • mentoring by experienced entrepreneurs
  • support from CODE2040 and the tech hubs on the creation of community impact through diversity, inclusion, and community building events throughout the year
