Five Things You Didn’t Know about CVS

CVS is a national retail pharmacy with a market cap of $91.26 billion. The retail giant has been around for decades, serving people with their minor needs and their pharmaceutical needs throughout its history. With locations around the country, it’s one of the biggest pharmacies in the world. In addition to its pharmacy, CVS also sells beauty, baby, food and other items. Here are a few things you didn’t know about the company.

Reward Cards

CVS offers a reward card that offers several financial benefits. And approximately 1 in every 3 Americans has their own CVS card. That seems like a lot when you consider the fact that less than a quarter of the reward card holders in the country actually use the card. The rest are the people who stop at the counter and say, “Nope. Don’t have one,” when asked. They’re really missing out.

There’s an App for That

CVS now has an app that will allow you to make shopping easier. You can download the app and your reward card number and see the sales and deals that are personalized to you. Instead of using the paper each week to comb through coupons and deals, you’ll get them right on your iPad. It makes shopping so much easier not to have to cut coupons.

Circular Coupons

CVS removed their coupons from the paper when they decided to take their coupons mobile, and there was a revolt. The store was bombarded with furious customers who are big into extreme couponing. The revolt was so bad for the store that they ultimately decided to place their coupons back in the paper.

Providence is CVS Capital

Because of CVS’ presence in Providence, Rhode Island, the store practically runs the city. In fact, it’s such a big employer in the city that people move from all over the world to work here. And when you leave the airport, the first thing visitors notice is a sign that welcomes people to Providece – by CVS.

CVS is Good to Customers

The pharmacy superstore is big on bloggers. They love their bloggers. In fact, they sponsor several each year to attend a mom 2.0 summit, and even fly them to Providence to visit their factories and test stores. In fact, some bloggers even admit that the company provided them with iPads, gifts and plenty of other items that made these bloggers happy.
